We don’t work that way. Creekside has an expert goldsmith on-site and every repair is done in our own shop right here on Washington Avenue in downtown Golden. Your piece stays with the person doing the work. If you want to know how a repair is coming along, the answer is in the building.
Estimates are always free, and we’ll tell you honestly when a repair isn’t worth doing — some pieces are better restored than repaired, and a few are better left alone.

What Happens When You Bring a Repair In
Bring the piece in — no appointment needed. We’ll look at it with you, talk through what it likely needs, and give you an approximate estimate before you leave. Estimates are always free.
Our goldsmith then examines the piece properly and firms up the quote. We call you with the final price, and nothing goes ahead until you say so. If you’d rather not proceed, that’s fine — you’re under no obligation and there’s no charge.
Once approved, the work is done here in Golden by our own goldsmith. Your piece never leaves the building, and we’ll call you when it’s ready.

How much does it cost to resize a ring?
More things affect the price than most people expect: the metal (platinum takes more work than gold), how many sizes you’re moving, whether the band has stones set around it, and what condition the piece is in. Bring it in and we’ll give you an approximate estimate on the spot, then call you with the firm price once our goldsmith has examined it. How long will my repair take?
That depends on what the piece needs and how busy the bench is. Give us a call and we’ll tell you the current turnaround before you make the drive.
Can you fix a ring that has stones all the way around?
Eternity bands are the hardest case — there’s no plain metal to cut and rejoin. Sometimes it can be sized, sometimes stones have to be reset, and occasionally the honest answer is that it can’t be done well. Our goldsmith will tell you which of those applies to your ring.
Do you repair engagement rings?
Yes — resizing, prong re-tipping, replacing lost stones, and rebuilding worn settings, whether or not the ring came from us. No. Walk in during store hours and we’ll take a look with you.
Do you repair jewelry you didn’t sell?
Yes. Most of what comes across the bench was bought somewhere else, including inherited pieces and rings from stores that have since closed.
Can you repair something sentimental that’s badly damaged?
Usually. Bring it in even if it looks beyond saving — restoration is a different job from repair, and we’ll be straight with you about what’s realistic.
Do you do appraisals too?
Yes — by a certified Graduate Gemologist, typically 1–2 weeks, and you receive a bound booklet with photographs and a monetary evaluation.
